Biography

Ann was born about 1809. While previous Census[1] records show Ann as being a Native of Fife, it is only in the 1871 Census[2] that Inverkeithing is stated as being her place of birth.

She married Mark Hadden on the 13th December 1830[3] in Inverkeithing, Fife.

About 1850 the family moved to Liverpool where Mark continued to be employed as a Boatman for the Customs Service[4]. After his death Ann lived with her daughter Mary Ann and son-in-law Thomas Brown[5].

She passed away a short time after this move during 1882[6].
