Lemuel married about 1831 to Polly Ann Brown. The couple moved from Perquimans, North Carolina to Ray County Missouri between 1835-1836. Of the eight children they had together John and Sarah were born in North Carolina and both married and stayed in Missouri. The rest of the children were born in Missouri and came and stayed in Texas.
