Biography

Joel Brown was born in 1762 in South Carolina.[1] He died in 1866 and is buried in the Brown Beasley Cemetery, in Conecuh County, Alabama.[2]

In the 1790 census Joel (age about 28) was living in Orangeburg, South Carolina, United States.[3] In the 1800 census Joel (age about 38) was living in Edgefield, South Carolina.[4] In the 1810 census Joel (age about 48) was living in Edgefield, South Carolina, United States.[5] In 1820 Joel (age about 58) was living in Conecuh, Alabama.[6] In the 1830 census Joel (age about 68) was living in Conecuh, Alabama, United States.[7] In the 1840 census Joel (age about 78) was living in Conecuh, Alabama, United States.[8] In 1850 Joel (age about 88) was living in Conecuh, Alabama.[9][10]. In the 1860 census Joel (age about 98) was living in Conecuh, Alabama, United States.[1] Joel passed away about 1866, aged 103-104. He is buried in the Brown Beasley Cemetery in Conecuh County, Alabama.[11]
