The origins of Sarah, wife of John Brown of Hampton have not been discovered. She is not Sarah Walker, niece of John Brown of Rehoboth who sailed on the Elizabeth in 1635, as made clear by Anderson. She is assumed to be the mother of all of his children as there is no record of the death of a prior wife. [1][2]
John Brown married Sarah (_______) Brown (abt.1618-1672) in 1640 in Charlestown, Suffolk, Massachusetts, United States. The couple had 8 children:
Children of John Brown and his wife Sarah Brown:[2]
The children listed above are the only known children of John and Sarah. Others include the children below (without evidence or citation).
Sarah died at the age of about 54 on 6 July 1672 in Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire
