John at his marriage in Fintray it said he was a Farmer in Hatton and Jane Brown both of this parish. [1]
Research Notes
I can find nothing to support her birth in Ayrshire - no census. Also young (but legal) at marriage at 16. John Allen born in Cambuslang but a farmer in Fintray. This family needs more research
The death entered was estimated. Nothing found in a search but have left it there.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jane by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jane:
There appears to be conflation of two Janet Browns in this profile. These children do not appear to be the children of the Janet Brown married to James Allan. See Family Search ID K8JT-9XM.
