John Browne (sic) was born to John Browne, Jr. and his wife Hannah Hubbard/Hobart.

The John Brown that married Ruth Huse was born March 13, 1664-5 at Newbury, son of Francis and Mary (Johnson) Brown. The child Ruth (Brown) Butler may be a child of Ruth Huse and that John Brown, not this profile's John Browne. I will remove Ruth as his wife as well as correct the child Ruth's father.

Torrey "New England Marriages" has possibilities:

m. 1683 Ruth Huse (conflict with Brown-1855), Newbury m. 1685 Abigail, Rowley m. 1686 Rachel Gardner, Salem

for birth in 1662 there is Nantucket VR, h. of Rachel Gardner, parents John and Hannah(Hobart)

Brown-6755 does not appear to be spouse of Huse-30 as he is not a duplicate of Brown-1855.

Are there any quality sources showing his parentage? Essex Institute does not show this John as a son of the couple shown.

Thank you
