Research Notes
Burke's Landed Gentry 1879 and 1912 note that Mary married Peter Gale and Catherine married Rev Abraham Symes. But the 1749 marriage register has Mary Browne married to Rev Abraham Symes. They were married on 29 June 1749 at Carlow. They were married by Dean Symes.[1] They are mentioned in the 1751 will of Abraham's uncle, Very Rev Sutton Symes, Dean of Achonry.
Nephew - Rev Mr Abraham Symes married to Miss Brown of Carlow
So it must be Catherine who married Peter Gale and Mary who married Rev Abraham Symes.
