Investigating Suggestion 305 Mother too young or not born: Mary Freeman is being removed as the mother of Elizabeth. There are no references available connecting Mary and Elizabeth. Plus there is only a nine year age difference between the two.

Elizabeth should be listed as last name unknown. The evidence suggesting she is a Brown

does not prove that. John Brown's will was written after Benjamin Wallingford the first was dead. So the Benjamin mentioned as his heir is the son. In the will he calls Benjamin "my friend". If there was a blood connection it would have been mentioned and Benjamin's brothers and sisters would be equal claiments. Also Elizabeth, making her mark, was a witness to the will. This does not show she was a Brown.
