Biography

Patience was a Friend (Quaker)

Patience was born on 29 Jul 1741 in Dartmouth, Bristol, Massachusetts Bay Colony. She was the daughter of Thomas Brownell Jr.

She married Jacob Chase II on 15 Mar 1762 in Tiverton, Newport, Rhode Island.

She died on 10 Nov 1823 in White Creek, Washington, New York.

NEHGS Reg. Vol. 87, p 258, records 10 Nov 1723 as the date of death, which does not follow (in time or order). Changing the century to 1823 does not change the fact that using either death date is supported by a record or a source. Assumptions should never be made.
