Mary Prentice Browning was born 28 Dec 1814 @ North Stonington, Connecticut. She was the second child of Amy Smith (Prentice) & Thomas Browning.

Mary married about 3 April 1839 at North Stonington, Denison Hewitt (Barbour transcript) ^[1]. They had two children:

1. Thomas Browning Hewitt (1842-1921)
