Research Notes

It is quite possible that Joan was sister of Robert Berry ie Joan Berry.

Roberts wife Mary (Margaret) refers to Joan’s husband John as her brother-in-law in her will.

Since she has a well documented succession of husbands, none of them Brownson and her maiden name was known to be Thorne, the relationship must have come through one of her husbands. The last, Robert was a very long relationship, the previous two being too early to be of relevance. No corroborating evidence could be found.

Joan and Mary died within 2 weeks of each other!
