Josiah Brownson was married to Prudence Hurlbut Jan 31, 1738/9. Daughter Prudence was born July 28, 1746. Prudence joined the church at New Milford in 1757 and married James McKean there Feb 24, 1763.
I believe they had son Bronson Leighton McKean b. 1770 Southold, LI but I have not proof of that.
He was a Private in Captain Benjamin Mills Company, Colonel Philip Bradleys Battalion - Wadsworth Brigade, CT 13 Sep 1776 - 30 Dec 1776[2] Was a member of Committees; Lieutenant from Waterbury.
