Biography
Lida and her brother James were adopted by Eli and Elizabeth Funkhouser/Funkhauser, an apparently childless couple. We find them in the 1880 census of Cooper County.
Her birth and death dates are from her death certificate[1]which contains an arithmetic error in calculating her birth year as 1858 rather than 1868. Her father is given as James Broyles and her mother is not known.
Lida married Joseph Koontz. She is buried in Masonic Cemetery in Cooper County.[2]
