BROYLES-BEYER, Fredricka Susan "Fred¬die" Beyer b. Mar. 13,1890 McCracken Co., KY d. June 4, 1976 married Dec. 22, 1908 McCracken Co., KY Charlie Lee "C.L." Broyles b. Nov. 16,1886 McCracken Co., KY d. Nov. 3, 1968. Both buried Beyer Cemetery. Charlie and Fredricka met the day she entered the first grade at the Old Hendron School. In Charlie and Fredricka's early marriage, they ran the Broyles Dairy in McCracken Co., KY. Mr. Broyles moved his family to Paducah in 1921, where he owned and operated groceries at 17th and Harrison and 701 Jackson. He retired in 1955. Fredricka's grandfather, John George Beyer was one of the signers of the constitution of the first Lutheran Church "The Evangical Lutheran St. Matthew Congregation" in McCracken Co., KY. Charlie and Fredricka's children are: Evaleene Elizabeth (now de¬ceased) married Roy Elkins; Charles Virgil married Anna Nell Clark; Mary Eloise md./ one-LeRoy "Chili" McManus md./two-Frank Rogers md./three-Pat Eugene Gilbert; Oneida md./one-James Hillard Collier md./two-Clif-ford Raymond Dye and Ernest Wayne married Mary Sue Edwards. Charlie was the son of Felix Grundy and Mary Telitha "McClure" Broyles. His mater-nal grandparents were John Thaddeus and Nancy Jane "Whitis" McClure. His paternal grandparents were John and Sarah "Weaver" Broyles.
Fredricka was the daughter of Gottlieb John and Elizabeth Rose "Lizzie" (James) Beyer. Gottlieb and Lizzie also had two sons: Carl and Clarence. Carl John Thomas married Flora Louise Williams and Clarence Andrew mar¬ried Cora Azilee Armstrong. Elizabeth Rose was the daughter of Julius Francis and Marga¬ret Ellen (Dipple) James. Lizzie's maternal grandparents were John and Elizabeth "Herbst" Dipple and her paternal grandpar¬ents were William H. and Elizabeth "Mahan" James. Gottlieb John (G.J.) Beyer was the son of John George Beyer b. June 13,1832 Germany d. Feb. 8,1894. John George came to America in 1853 and lived with his Uncle Johann Thomas Baier. The Beyer name has been spelled Baier and Bayer also. The correct spelling today is Beyer. In 1858 John George brought his par¬ents, Johannes Ulrich and Anna "Schlenk" Beyer and their children to America.
Johannes Ulrich and Anna Schlenk Beyer are buried in Beyer Cemetery. Their children were; John George married Margaret Dedrick; Frederick married Susanna Schmidt; Ulrich married Catherine "Schmidt" Metzer; Anna married George Beyer; Margoreth married G. William Ruoff; Margaret married John Schmidt; Barbara married Gustav Unrath; Conrad married Catherine Leherer; and a son stayed in Germany married Dora.
In 1859 John George Beyer bought a 350 acre farm, about this time he married Margaret Dietrick (Dedrick) b. 1839 Pennsylvania d. Aug. 12, 1926 McCracken Co., KY. Margaret was a twin to Godlip M. Dedrick. She was the daughter of Jacob Wilhelm and Katheryn Bar¬bara "Martin" Dedrick. John George became an American Citizen Oct. 25,1867 at Paducah, KY. John George and Margaret's children were; Mary Ann married Willie Thomas Schmidt; Annie-never married; Gottlieb John married Elizabeth Rose James; George mar¬ried Inez Hannan Rock; Ulrick died young; Conrad married Nannie Schmidt; John F., married Hattie McReynolds; Dora Elizabeth Barbara married Alonzo Starr; Margaret-never married; William married Mae Grouse.
