Harriet Ellen Broyles was born on June 7, 1870, in Monroe, West Virginia, when her father, Solomon Broyles, was 23, and her mother, Mary Canterbury, was 21. [1] She married James A McDaniel on January 15, 1891 in Monroe County. [2]
They had three children during their marriage. She died on September 18, 1955, in Forest Hill, West Virginia, at the age of 85 and is buried in the Forest Hill Methodist Church Cemetery. [3]
