Henry's birth and death dates are from his tombstone.[1] Interestingly, his wife had the same name as his mother. He was the father of eight children but most of them died young.

14 Jan 1858 - Henry L. Broyles marries Elizabeth A. McGinnis. Boyle County, Kentucky.[2]

5 Jun 1869 - Bond is posted for the marriage of H.L. Broyles and Nancy W. Withrow. Marion County, Kentucky. It his second marriage and her first.[3]
