Cyrus was born about 1805. He is the son of Samuel Broyles and Phebe Broyles. It's interesting that his family moved from Washington Co. to Cocke Co., Tenn., when he was perhaps a teenager yet he married in Greene Co. and began his family there. His death around 1843 is inferred from the fact that his second wife remarried in 1845 to Jacob Miller.
8 Oct 1832 - Cyrus sells 100 acres in Blount Co., Tenn., on Nine Mile Creek in Blount County, Tennessee.[1][2]
10 Jan 1835 - Cyrus Broyles of Greene County, Tenn., sells 47 acres to Thomas Carpenter on Nine Mile Creek in Blount County.[1][3]
4 Mar 1837 - Cyrus Broyles enters 408 acres in Cocke County, Tenn. The land was granted 24 Feb 1848 (apparently in his name but after his death).[1]
