Eugene Bell Broyles was the son of Henry and Mary (Bell) Broyles. He lived in Louisville, Kentucky, and married twice. His first wife was Alice Hancock whom he married in 1891. Their children:
Omer, born 21 Oct 1892. Married Ethel Wilson.
Amy, born 18 Jul 1894. Married Fred Favre on 16 Nov 1911.
Eugene and Alice divorced in 1896. Alice remarried to Albert Zell on 4 Oct 1899 in Madison County, Indiana. The children retained the Broyles name. Eugene remarried years later to Malissa Dodson on 21 Oct 1908 in Clark County, Indiana. She brought her son Leroy Dodson into the marriage and he took the name Broyles. (*There is reason to believe from a family story told by Eugene's sister and distant DNA matches that Eugene fathered Leroy out of wedlock and recognized him later in life as his natural son.)
Eugene was born in 1870. He passed away in 1926.
