Since it was posted in a newspaper in New Brunswick, Canada, that suggests that they likely had family there. We know because of that article that she had no sisters. She probably had brothers though.

10 July 1843, Mary (Bruce) Street, daughter of "late James BRUCE, Esq. of Edinburgh" and wife of William H. STREET Esq. of Saint John, NB died. She was age 49.

1843-49=1794 for approx year of birth. Since her father lived in Edinburgh, I'll assume that this was her place of birth until more info becomes available.
