Biography
Charlotte Jean, also recorded as Charlotte Jane, was born in 1860, the daughter of John Bruce and Jessie Anderson and one of 9 children. [1]
At age 22, Charlotte married James Birtles of Saddle Hill at Brighton in 1882. [2] They had 5 children during their marriage. [3]
