DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with James by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.

I looked through the source that is the will of James Bruce Senior and I noted a few corrections for the above entry.
1) There is no William BEVER mentioned as an executor. I will quote (including misspellings), "I do apointe Stephen adams and William bruce My Hole and Sole Executors"
2) The document page does not mention a James Bruce, Jr., although this is implied by the fact that it is the will of James Bruce Sr.
Thanks for posting the reference will. It's the first I've seen of it.

Bruce-3073 and Bruce-6164 appear to represent the same person because: I created-Bruce -6164 because i did not get a result in a search. although the birth place and date are wrong, Patience is a daughter of James as she was born in Woolf's Creek by my research to a James Bruce.
