He married Mary Jane Crozier November 16, 1843. He farmed for a living.
Together, he and Mary Jane had eleven children; Minerva Jane, Harvey Shepherd (my GG Grandfather), George W., Eliza Ellen, Jeraldine Henrietta, Elizabeth Rosetta, Mary Louise, Sarah Marceline and Nancy Delasine ( who were twins), James McClellan, and Martha M.
Jacob passed away at 78 years old, and was interred in Greenwood Cemetery, in Knoxville, Iowa.
