Biography

Lloyd Bruce graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.) from Trinity College, Dublin He was the Rector at Stokesley, Yorkshire, England. He was the Chaplain to the Archbishop of York. He held the office of Canon of York.

Londonderry Standard dated 14 October 1863: "October 6th at St. Nicholas, Oxford by the Archbishop of York, the Rev. Lloyd S Bruce, youngest son of the later Sir James R. Bruce, Bart of Downhill, Rector of Hale in Hampshire to Jane, daughter of James H Skene, Esq., HM Consulate at Aleppo and granddaughter of James Skene, Esq of Rubislaw".
