Stenhouse, also in Stirling, also belonged to this branch of the Bruces, who were for a time styled either ‘of Stenhouse’ or ‘of Airth’.

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Edward by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.

In the Peerage of Scotland it also has: " Edward, ancestor of the Bruces of Airth of whom the Bruces of Kinloch, Bunzion, &c. are decended..." I am looking for more information between his Son Alexander and Patrick Lord Bunzion whose father was James Bruce and Margaret Oglvie. Robert George Bruce and his brother Frederick Rudolph Bruce came to Nova Scotia 1760 ish. Robert George willed "Bunzion Estate" to his brother Frederick.
Edward could not have married Agnes (1417) after his death in 1403. Other trees suggest Edward died in 1449, or that they married in 1394.
