Biography
Sanford Dale Brumfield was born in Guyan Township, Ohio on September 9, 1908[1]. He was the son of Sloan Brumfield and Mary Farley.
At the time of the 1910 U.S. Census, Sloan, Mareetta, Bettie, Dora B, Gideon, Gael, Mahala, Hazel, Perry, John A, and Sanford Brumfield were listed as living in Guyan Township, Ohio, along with Sloan and Mary's granddaughter Mary N Brumfield[2].
At the time of the 1920 U.S. Census, Sloan, Mary E, Perry, John, Sanford, and Imogen Brumfield were listed as living in Guyan Township, Ohio, along with Sloan and Mary's grandson Robert Rucker and their daughter Elizabeth Harris[3].
At the time of the 1930 U.S. Census, Mary Brumfield, her son Sanford Brumfield, and her granddaughter Imogene Brumfield were listed as living in Crown City, Ohio[4].
Sanford married Beatrice Jack in Wayne County, West Virginia on October 23, 1935[5].
At the time of the 1940 U.S. Census, Sanford and Beatrice Brumfield were listed as living in Crown City, Ohio[6].
Dale died in Gallia County, Ohio on December 7, 2001[7].

I would hesitate before merging away the other S. Brumfield. This family's history is extremely complicated, and I haven't been able to sort through all the records yet.
