Biography

Hannah Brundage, the youngest of eight children, was born in 1685 to John and Hannah (Hunt) Brundage. She married David Husted.[1]

It should be noted that the commonly seen year of birth 1697 has never been documented. The 1685 year of birth given by Thomas Taylor, cited above, appears more logical in relation to the births of her siblings but Taylor's documentation needs to be ascertained (he has an extensive bibliography but the source for this particular information is not footnoted and not yet determined). It should also be noted that he lists her given name as Hannah rather than Johanna.

Johanna Brundage "married May 19, 1718" (alternately May 14) David Husted.[2]

Reconstruction Notes

This profile was poorly modified without collaboration by someone who has been removed from WikiTree. The text below which was removed will be reintegrated.

According to Perry Streeter, [4] There were 3 Davids, who were the grandsons of Stout Old John of Rye, b. 1635/6, as follows:

  • 1) David, the son of John Brundage and Johannah Bush/Brock,
  • 2) David, the son of Daniel Brondage and Mary Galpin, and
  • 3) David, the son of Joseph Brundige and Mary Lane/Lain.

A fourth David was found in another source, that is,

  • 4) David, son of Hannah Brundage and David Huested. Hannah Brundage, the youngest of eight children, was born in 1685 to John and Hannah (Hunt) Brundage. She married David Husted.[1]

Hi Managers,

I made some small modifications to profile so that the TW Brundage research pages posted on Family Search would be trackable. Also hyperlinked to TW's profile which I manage. Hope you don't mind the small alterations. Thanks for working on Johanna...

I revised that citation so it has the source information and a smaller link
Looks better the way you revised it! Thanks!

We have a clear match in Brundage 107 and 108!

These two have been duplicates ever since they were imported from the Jackson Family Tree on the same date in 2012 which is visible in the changes. Hopefully the merge can go forward!

Brundage-108 and Brundage-107 appear to represent the same person because: This merge was set an unmerged match. Please merge these 2 records which are the same person.

Thank you.

George is correct in writing "This is a match."

For some reason the wikisystem has added the text saying "not ready to be merged" This is incorrect though. They are actually overdue for merging.

Brundage-108 and Brundage-107 are not ready to be merged because: You have 2 Johanna's married to the same man. This is a match.
