Biography

Emma J. Bruner was born circa 1860 at New York, USA. She appeared on the census of 22 June 1860 in the household of her parents, George Bruner and Margaret (Hudson) Bruner, at West Union, Steuben Co., New York.[1] She appeared on the census of 15 July 1870 in the household of her parents at Bonus Township, Boone Co., Illinois.[2]

She married Frank Darby, son of Samuel Darby and Sarah (Read) Darby, on 30 Nov. 1878 at Rock Co., Wisconsin.[3] She and Frank Darby were divorced circa 1879.

She appeared on the census of 1 June 1880 in the household of her parents at Belvidere, Boone Co., Illinois. [4]

She married Erwin S. Bowers, son of Philander Bowers and Cornelia (Willis) Bowers, on 26 April 1882 at Belvidere, Boone Co., Illinois.[5]

She married Argent Edward Jarvis, son of William Jarvis and Lizzie (Causdeale) Jarvis, in 1894 at Boone Co., Illinois.[6]

Emma died on 8 Oct. 1894 and was buried at Belvidere Cemetery, Belvidere, Boone County, Illinois. Her memorial has birth and death dates and some biographical information.[7]
