Biography

George Bowman was born May 8, 1775 to Jacob Bowman and Catherine Carn in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

He married Margaret Ulmer in 1796.

George married Margret Ruple and had 8 children

In the 1800 census George (age 25) was living in Orange, Orangeburg District, South Carolina.[1]

In the 1820 census George (age 45) was living in Pendleton, South Carolina, United States.[2]

In the 1830 census George (age 55) was living in Orangeburg, South Carolina, USA.[3]

In the 1840 census George (age 65) was living in Colleton, South Carolina, United States.[4]

George died, at the age of 68, on May 24, 1843 in Orangeburg Dist,, South Carolina, USA and was buried at the Shiloh Cemetery, Bowman, Orangeburg County, South Carolina.[5]
