Notes

Born in Germany. In 1729 she came with her father to America. 1

Her father was a Farmer. Was a member of the Committee of Observation for theMiddle district of Frederick Co., MD from September 2, 1775 to October 24, 1776. May have been a member w/family of Evangelical Reformed Churchin 10 May 1775, but not sure if this Henry. 1

We have an error here, evidently. Don't know how to fix it based on thismsg 111896: "By the way, I think the Henry Jr. info you have has askipped generation- I have seen this mistake in other documents- Henry Jr(Johan Henrich's son known as "Henry" in America) died at an early age(26) and only had three children, one of which is my GGGGrandfather,John. Another son is Henry (presummably, Henry the third) which may haveaccount for some of the confusion. My "proof" comes from the above-mentioned Maryland Calendar of Wills, so I beleive it is pretty accurate. (It's his will).

From Maryland Calendar of Wills, by Jane Baldwin Cotton I have: V16, p142 Brunner, Henry (this is Johan Henrich- Josephs' son) variousproperty willed to his wife and children, then to son John Brunner, to pay to Mary Bantz when she arrives full age and to pay to my wife 0, the said John to have the house which joins dwelling house Henry Bantz to be heir of same, which his father AdamBantz now lives in." Pam Frederic.

Bruner-657 and Brunner-103 appear to represent the same person because: Dates and places match. Brunner is the earlier spelling found in Frederick County records; Bruner is a later Anglicization that doesn't show up until the 1800s.
