Biography

Jesse Bryant came from England. He married a Miss Turbeville, supposedly a sister of Rev. William Turbeville who came over about 1735.[1][2] Place of death also reported as Marion, Marion, South Carolina, United States.[3]

Old Jesse had sons, William, Stephen and Jesse. Of these, William married Rebecca Miller; he lived and died some twenty-five or thirty years ago, on the road just above Ebenezer Church at the age of eighty-nine. Whether William, Stephen, or Jesse was the oldest, is not known. Jesse Bryant, son of the first Jesse, went West. [4]

Stephen Bryant was the father or grand-father of F. D. Bryant, Esq, of the Marion Bar. One of the daughters of the first Jesse was the wife of the late Charles Taylor.[5]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jesse by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jesse:

Bryant-6457 and Bryan-1404 appear to represent the same person because: These are the same person, they have the same date statistics, birth and death location and same spouse. Some Bryant families dropped the t and used Bryan and sometimes it was the person recording the information.

Hello. I came across your line and I was looking at several people. I am connected to several of your people, and since many of the various families married and migrated together, along with being in each others Wills and Land Deeds; I am certain that we share the same lines of Bryan//Bryant/Briant. My GGG Grandfather was a witness to Jesse's Will, John Dew/Doe. I haven't exactly figured out who's brother or son he is, bit here is the family he fits into.

Hope it helps. Nice to "meet" you, Cousin. https://www.wikitree.com/genealogy/Dew-Family-Tree-437
