Biography

Albert Hetherington Bryant was born in Ballarat East, Victoria, Australia on about 1859 to parents William Joseph Bryant and Maria (Curnick) Bryant.^[1]

At some stage in his life, Albert changed his middle name from Etherington to Ethren.

In about 1883, Albert married Ellen Snell in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.^[2]

Unfortunately, Albert contracted typhoid fever and died on 27 March 1896 in the Ballarat Hospital at the early age of 36 years.^[3][4] He was buried with his son Horace Bryant on 29 March 1896 at the Ballarat Old Cemetery, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.^[5][6]

An obituary notice placed in the Ballarat Star newspaper the following day stated that there was a large attendance at the funeral with about 200 members of the IOOF society and other bodies marching in front of the hearse.^[7]
