On Oct. 18, 1832, Thomas Bryant applied for a pension. He stated that he was 71 and had been living in Spotsylvania County, Virginia when he was drafted about June 1, 1780. He stated that he had no record of his birth, but had been born in 1761 in Spotsylvania County. Sometime after 1780, he moved to Culpeper county where he lived 14 years before moving to Tennessee, where he lived about a year before he moved to Fayette County, Kentucky. He lived there 4 years before moving to Henry County, Kentucky, where he "has resided ever since,, to wit about 20 years."
The transcription of Abraham Farguson's pension application notes that he made a deposition for Thomas Bryant and includes Abraham's statement, followed by 'On the pension certificate is written "Died July 2, 1840."' (but unclear if Abraham or Thomas died that date).
