1856 The first thing he remembered was the election of president Buchanan. He remembered, because he was going to the outhouse when a big Irishman named Nick Mooney, riding a horse, threw up his hat and shouted "Hooray for Buchanan!". This is the same Mooney that was later shot (through the leg) by Wild Bill Hickock. [1]
1875 Married Nora Sheridan, a daughter of John Sheridan and Lucy Isaacs.
