1852 Born

1856 The first thing he remembered was the election of president Buchanan. He remembered, because he was going to the outhouse when a big Irishman named Nick Mooney, riding a horse, threw up his hat and shouted "Hooray for Buchanan!". This is the same Mooney that was later shot (through the leg) by Wild Bill Hickock. ^[1]

1875 Married Nora Sheridan, a daughter of John Sheridan and Lucy Isaacs.

1877 Set up his own abstract, loan, and insurance business in Marshall, Mo.

1900 Lived in Marshall with his family and his widowed mother. Census lists his occupation as real estate agent.

Buried in Ridgepark Cemetery, Marshall, Mo. A Dixie Lee Bryant, with wife Elizabeth, is buried in the same lot. ^[2]
