Biography

Pearl Bryant wed C W Sexton August 14, 1902 in Miller County, Arkansas as seen in an image of the original marriage register.^[1]

Pearl Saxton wed Patty P. Hughes December 3, 1908 in Miller County, Arkansas.^[2]

Pearl Hughes was enumerated as wife of the head of household at Sulphur, Miller County, Arkansas for the April 26, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1879 in Arkansas and had been married twelve years. She was the mother of three children of which all were still living as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Retty Hughes, son [stepson] Van Hughes [Sexton], son [stepson] Louis Hughes [Sexton], daughter [stepdaughter] Carnell Hughes [Sexton], daughter Augusta Hughes, son Elmer Hughes, son Arthur Hughes and mother D J Hughes.^[3]

Pearl Hughes was enumerated as head of the household at Bright Star Road, Sulphur, Miller County, Arkansas for the February 3, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1880 in Arkansas and widowed. She was an owner and a farmer on a general farm as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are daughter Lois Hughes, daughter Vada Hughes, son Van Sexton and daughter Carmel Sexton.^[4]

Pearl Hughes wed J. L. Brockman January 19, 1921 in Miller County, Arkansas.^[5]

Mary Pearl Bryant Brackman is buried at Olive Branch Cemetery in Brightstar, Miller County, Arkansas.^[6]
