James Brydges, 8th Baron Chandos of Sudeley was born in September 1642.2 He was the son of Sir John Brydges, 2nd Bt. and Mary Pearle.
James married Elizabeth Barnard on 4 May 1665 in Saint Mary Magdalene, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, England.[1]
He died on 16 October 1714 at age 72. He was buried at Aconbury, Herefordshire, England.5 His will was proven (by probate) in December 1714.
He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Brydges, of Wilton, co. Hereford [E., 1627] on 21 February 1651/52.2 He matriculated at St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 15 June 1657. He held the office of Sheriff of Herefordshire from 1667 to 1668.2 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baron Chandos of Sudeley, co. Gloucester [E., 1554] on 22 August 1676.1 He was Ambassador of the Turkey Company to Constantinople between April 1680 and 1686.
