Biography
Isabella was born in 1842 in Cape Town, South Africa. She was the daughter of David Buchanan and Mary Amm. She was widowed at age 35 with 4 young children while pregnant with her 5th child when her husband was murdered on their farm. It appears that she continued to farm for sometime thereafter. She did not remarry. She later settled in Fairview, Johannesburg where died at age 64.
