David Dale Jnr was apprenticed to his father for five years from Dec 1961 and became an attorney and advocate. In 1872 he was in Durban but later practised in Pmb and Ladysmith. From 1874 - 1877 he was Acting Clerk of the Peace for the Counties ofPmb, Umvoti and Alfred, and the Div. of Upper Umkomaas. When he remarried he was living in Standerton, Tvl.
