Note: "A revival needs more than an eloquent preacher. It needs zealous and praying Christians, and though they were few in number the Rongotea brethren were jus tthis. Among the earliest converts were the Rose famil who were owners of the local sawmill. Miss Maunder, a Christian in Wellington, had sent a tract called 'The Good News' to the Rowe brothers, Thomas, William, Fred and Nicholas. Nicholas was converted through reading the tract. He dragged his brother Tomas to Bulls to hear Gordon Forlang, and he too was converted. That same day Thomas explained to Neil Buchanan's daughter Sarah (Mrs Blunden) what had happened, and she too made a profession of faith. ..." (There We Found Brethren, Peter J Lineham, 1977, p63).
