He married Elizabeth Margaret Gilstrap on 3 Jul 1819 in Washington, Indiana . He then married Rebecca Wright (1800–1892) on 15 Jan 1824 in Washington, Indiana. He died on 11 Oct 1880 in Moscow, Latah, Idaho
