Mary Buchanan was born in 1893 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Tyne and Wear, England, United Kingdom. She was the daughter of James Buchanan and Janet Campbell.[1]
In the 1901 census Mary (age 8) was the daur (daughter) of James Buchanan at 67 Orchard St, Govan, Lanarkshire.[2]
She married Hugh Madden in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland on 23 Feb 1914. [citation needed]
