On pg 354, it states: Mr. Christopher Buchanan's father was Duncan Buchanan and he married Jincy Gay and lived in Montgomery County, but later moved to Blackshear, Georgia. Duncan Buchanan's father was William Buchanan, who was born in Scotland in 1746, and died in 1849. He came from Pennsylvania to Raleigh, North Carolina, later settling in Georgia. He fought in the Revolutionary and French and Indian Wars.
