Biography

This profile is part of the Buckingham Name Study.

Jedediah read law with the Hon. Sylvester Gilbert in 1775 at Hebron, CT. He graduated Dartmouth College, 1779. Studied law with Judge T. Parson, Newburyport, MA before continuing his law studies at the Temple in London, England. After returning to America he located at Thetford, Orange, VT where he was Counsellor, Clerk of Probate Court and also Judge of Probate. He was 10 years a member of VT House of Representatives, also of the Executive Council.

He married first Ann Cook - no children

After the death of Ann he married Meribah Springer in 1835 - no children

He is buried at East Thetford Cemetery, East Thetford, Orange, VT
