DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joseph by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joseph:

It looks possible that Buckingham-504 is the grandchild of Buckingham-1637. On Buckingham-1637's page I have that he has a son Albert listed in the 1870 census at age 20 in Illinois (consistent with Buckingham-504's father).

K.Bloom is correct that the dates for Harriet & Zilpha are inconsistent. I have removed Dudley-1946 (Harriet) as his wife because she clearly belongs to Buckingham-1637 (from census record & dates). I have no information about Zilpha so I will leave that alone.

In either case, Buckingham-1637 and Buckingham-504 should not be merged.

There is clearly a data error involved here, please review:
  • Joseph Willard Buckingham married Harriet Ann 48 years' before he was born
  • Joseph Willard's daughter, Zilpha Augusta, was born 43 years' before he was born.
  • If Buckingham-1637 is not the same person as Buckingham-504, I suggest that Harriet Ann and Zilpha Augusta were erroneously attached to Joseph Willard.
  • There is a duplicate record for Harriet Ann (Dudley) Buckingham: Dudley-4040 and Dudley-1946 need to be merged
  • The only citation given for this record is FAG, which does not specify marriage to Harriet Ann.
  • No citation provided from Troy Mills Historical Society for Joseph Willard, only for Joseph Henry.

Feel free to ask in G2G for assistance.

Buckingham-1637 and Buckingham-504 do not represent the same person because: these are 2 SEPERATE individuals..The Troy Mills Historical Society located at the Old Holman School, Troy Mills Iowa has records proving these individuals are 2 SEPERATE people
