In 1851 Isaiah Buckingham was living in Acre End Street in Eynsham with his parents, John and Hannah, and his older brother William. His age was given as 14, implying a birth date in 1836 or 1837. His birthplace was given as E[y]nsham, Oxfordshire. He was an agricultural labourer. [2]
Isaiah Buckingham, bachelor, aged 25, a private in the 1st Battalion, 3rd Foot, of Eynsham, son of John Buckingham, labourer; and Lydia Elizabeth Brooks, spinster, aged 19, of Eynsham, daughter of William Brooks, butcher; were married at Eynsham parish church on 13 January 1862. [3]
