Biography

Mary was born on 31 August 1870 in Southampton, Hampshire. She was the daughter of Stephen Richards Buckell and Sarah (Gingell) Buckle.[1] [2]

Mary was baptised on 18 September 1870 in Southampton, Hampshire. St Joseph's Church, Bugle St.,[3]

In the 1871 census Mary (age 7 months) was living in Church Road Saint Mary Sholing Hound, Hampshire, England.[2][4]


In the 1881 census Mary (age 10) was living in 2 Fives Court, Southampton St John, Hampshire, England.[5][6]

In the 1891 census Mary (age 20) was living in Southampton, Hampshire. She was employed as a Domestic Servant. Age was recorded as 20y. 7 St George's Street,St Mary's[7]

In the 1891 census Mary (age 20) was living in St Mary, Hampshire, England.[8][9]

When Mary was 29 she married in September 1899 in Hampshire, United Kingdom.[10][11]

In the 1901 census Mary (age 30) was living in Shirley, Hampshire, England.[12][13]

In the 1911 census Mary (age 40) was living in Shirley, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom[14].

In the 1939 register Mary was living in Romsey and Stockbridge, Hampshire, England and was a widow.

Mary died at the age of about 82 in 1953 at an unknown location.[15]
