Fred was the second of four children in the family of John and Mary Louise Nolan Buckley.[1]He spent his early years on the family farm in Douro Township, in Peterborough County.[2] He was about seven years old when his father died. The family remained on the farm after John Buckley died.[3]
Fred married Verlie Flynn at age 26.[4] They are the parents of four sons.[5] Fred was working as a packer in 1949, and the family lived on London Street in Peterbourogh.[6]In 1963, Fred was working as a machine operator.[7]
Fred died at age 79. He is buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Douro, Ontario.[8]
