Ann was born in 1750. She was the daughter of Peyton Buckner and Elizabeth Seale. She passed away in 1820. [1]
I, Ann Cornwell, of the County of Fauquier being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispose of my worldly estate, do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following:
1st I devise that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of the perishable part of my property.
2ndly after the payment of my debts and funeral expenses I give to my daughter Sarah Kincheloe and her heirs one negro woman Hannah and her two youngest children and her future increase to her and her heirs forever.
3rdly I give to my daughter Elizabeth Blake one negro woman Cole which she recd of me some time past to her and her heirs forever and no more.
4thly I give to my grandson William Blake one negro boy by name Dennis to him and his heirs forever but he is not to be taken out of this State of Virginia by him or any other person.
5thly I give to my granddaughter Ruth Cornwell one negro boy Stephen and one girl Charlotte her and her future increase one feather bed and furniture to her and her heirs forever.
6thly I give to my granddaughter Ann Cornwell one negro girl Mahala and her future increase to her and her heirs forever.
7thly I give to the three youngest children of my daughter Elizabeth Blake ten pounds each to them and their heirs to be paid them by my executor herein after named.
8thly I give to my son Peyton Cornwell one negro man by name Archibald one girl Lettice and one girl Emsy and one negro woman Judea is to be taken care of by my son Peyton Cornwell and his family she is to remain with any one or more of his family as she may choose and
Lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Peyton Cornwell executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all other or former wills or testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affirmed my seal this twentieth day of February in the year eighteen hundred and nineteen.
