Biography

Thomas Buffington, son of Thomas and Sarah (Southwick) Buffington was born Mar 1, 1671-2. He married Hannah Ross Feb 28, 1699; she was living in 1705. He was dead in 1705. Their children were:^[1]

1. Hannah, b May 11, 1701; m Jonathan Marsh Oct 7, 1725
2. Sarah, b Aug 30, 1703; m Ezekiel Marsh (see Sarah Buffington's profile with discrepancies re this birthdate and spouse)
3. Thomas, b June 25, 1705

Another source gives Thomas Buffington's birth date as March 1, 1672-3.^[2]

Research Notes

It is possible that Perley's information about his death was wrong. Thomas was certainly deceased when his father wrote his will Sept 18, 1725, and gave Thomas' of his estate to his Thomas' son.^[3]

Another source doesn't give his death date, other than to say Thomas Buffington was dead in 1725.^[4]
