Biography

Dear Lucille, Just a note today, have a bushel of work to do and no ambition to get it done. The infomration I have says May 15, 1805 4 his first wife Nancy was born March 27-1809. His second wife Elizabeth Ann was born Feb 3 1814. Some of these dates don't corespond to the stories Mom told me. She said that Grannie Mallory's husband was much older than she was and that he had children by his first wife as old as Grannie. She must have been mistaken. Thats all the information I have as far as records go.

My Grandfather Frank Buffington had several brothers and sisters. Four of the Brothers Jim, Bill, Tom and Went were like children. They had spinal Menengitis when they were small and their brain was damaged so their minds never developed any futher than childhood.

Went was out in the woods cutting timber and cut an artery in his foot and bled to death. The other three lived to be old men. Another brother Sim was kicked by a mule in the Stomache and died in a few hours. One of the sisters Esther married Jacob Hilderbridle who was Sherriff of Reynolds County. There was another sister or two and another brother but I can't remember their names. Your Dad might know.
