Emma Buffington was my Great, great, grandmother. Her obit says she was born in Louisa County Iowa on July 18, 1851 to Abraham and Hannah Buffington. She married Jared B. Barnes 21 Dec 1873 in Red Oak, Iowa. She died 17 April 1923. She is survived by four brothers and one sister, Mrs. Belle Cook of Norfolk, NE, SAMUEL Buffington of St. Paul, NE, William Buffington also of Nebraska, Riley Buffington of Findley, OH. and John Buffington who resided in Colorado.
